Hope you're not after of lizards, or should I say "BIG Iguanas" when staying at Boyd's. The iguanas swim over from a little island and come visit the campground during the day. Definitely, do not leave food outside! The campground itself is clean and has full hookups. The pool area is excellent with an adjacent game area that has jinga, checkers, and wall hook games.
August 6th is the start of lobster season, and it's the main reason for our visit. My husband trailered the boat down with his truck, and I drove the camper. Boyd's has boat slip right next to the campground sites which provides for ease of access with loading and unloading dive gear from the boat. Mama manatee and her baby came up and visited us in the boat area. Poor mama looked like she was in need of some sleep. During our visit, we cruised out to Looe Key and toured the Key West island.
