Scallop Time

For scallop season, we stayed at B's Marina in Yankeetown, FL. Yankeetown is a small town located by Crystal River. The campground provides full hookups, boat slips, outdoor entertainment, and friendly staff. The campground is on the Withlacoochee River with direct Gulf access. For scallopping, the water at the entrance to the Gulf seemed cloudy which made it difficult for scallopping. Further south, the water became clearer, and scallops were easier to find, although still a challenge. Overall, it was a fun week with friends and family.
