In Nichols, Georgia, General Coffee State Park campground is tucked away in wooded seclusion. The campground is unique with its own fully functional farm with a variety of animals, such as goats, chickens, pigs, horses, a donkey, and ducks. Within the farm area, a small lake provides fishing, canoeing, and paddleboat opportunities.

For aviation enthusiasts, the nearby town of Douglas provides a WWII Flight Training museum and walking tour of actual vehicles and aircraft from the WWII era. There is no cost but donations are requested.

For a specialty food treat for the carnivorous type, McKinnon Cattle and Meats has the most tender and juiciest steaks. The cattle are raised in the back area and slaughtered on site. You cannot beat that for freshness.
