After spending time at the Grand Canyon, we headed out to travel back east and to catch to some unique desert sights on the way. Goldfield Ghost town fit the bill of uniqueness and
pulled us into the era of the Old West with its historic structures housing shops, saloon restaurant, and old-fashioned arcade games.
For overnight stay, we located the Mesa/Apache KOA. The sites were open and arid (desert, of course), but it was impeccably clean. The hosts were friendly and the pool was refreshing. We used the laundry mat to refresh our clothes and left out the next day after a peaceful night sleep.
