Stone Mountain provides a glimpse into history and an outing of family fun. During the winter months, snow tubing thrills abound. There is also an open area for kiddies (and adults) to romp in the snow. The aerial tram to the top of Stone Mountain gives an up close view of the historic mountainside carving. While on the top of the mountain, we took the opportunity to wander around and take in the vast view of the land below. On the day we went, it was cloudy, but we still had a great vantage point.

After visiting the mountain top, we rode the train around the bottom of the mountain. In the evening, enjoyed the festival lights. From our campground site, we were able to see the Christmas lit up on the top of the mountain.
